CLAIMS

If you have had an accident or need to make a claim against your insurance policy, we are here to guide you through the claims process.

QUESTION: SHOULD YOU FILE THIS CLAIM?

If there is any chance that someone may have been injured, or suffered as a result of the accident, then you absolutely must file the claim. If you choose not to file it, and a lawsuit is filed later, you won’t have the insurance policy to protect you from the claim.

However, in some situations it makes sense to not file a claim, thereby keeping your insurance record clean, which will keep your rates from going up.

If you think this may be possibility for your situation, read this detailed report before you make your decision.

I NEED TO FILE A CLAIM

As your independent insurance agent, our goal is to make your claim process go smoothly.  Here are the steps to follow when making a claim:

  • First, please contact the insurance company directly to give them notice of the claim. The insurance company will then notify us of your claim.
  • If you need to make a claim and would like our assistance with the submission, we will be happy to discuss the details with you.  In most cases, you will need to speak with the Insurance Carrier directly to report the details yourself, but we can help you to ensure that your claim is correctly processed. Simply contact our office to request assistance.
  • After your claim has been processed, we will follow up with you to inquire about your experience.  We want to know that you were treated well and your claim was resolved.

If you feel that you are not being treated fairly, or if you need some help through the process, please contact us.  We are always here to assist you.
